Easter in Morganton

We spent Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend with Josh's family in Morganton. John was exactly three months old on Good Friday, 3/21!

Match Day 3/20/08

Match Day was a lot of fun! Although Josh was unable to make the trip to Chapel Hill, John was able to come. Lindsay's husband John watched little John during their class meeting and then everyone got ready to open their envelopes. Jenny was very happy both to get her #1 choice at CMC and that most of her friends will still be in North Carolina next year! After the ceremony, Jenny went to eat and celebrate with Lindsay's family and friends.
Here is a picture of some of Jenny's friends and John and his fellow med school babies (thanks for the pictures Steph!)

Bumbo playtime 3/19

John had a lot of fun playing in his Bumbo (and on the floor with big brother Mr T)
He started out with his dog and his ball. Looks like Spunky is his first target...
With the dog out of the way, he turns his sights to the ball
With those two down, Jacques takes his turn

I don't think Jacques stands a chance

And down he goes

Hey, where are all the toys?

Maybe we should try this without the tray
What a drooler!

Playing with his ball

John is really starting to reach and grab for things. One of his favorite things to grab is his ball.

Monkey See, Monkey Zoo 3/12/08

This is John reading and playing with one of his favorite books, Monkey See, Monkey Zoo.

He kicks so hard now that he can activate the music on his playmat on his own.

John Playing

We took some pictures and video of John playing on his playmat.
John showing off his rolling skills...he's getting there! He still is working on getting his arms underneath him, but as you can see in the video, once he does (usually with a little help for now) he love to go for it!

Jenny tried to put John down for a nap in his crib, but we heard him awake in there and after a few minutes went in to capture what he normally does (not nap!) You can also see well how chubby his legs are getting!

ICM "Wild Liles" reunion dinner 3/5/08

Jenny's ICM group got together for dinner at Pepper's and then the Yogurt Pump during their capstone course since they were all back in town. John went for a visit and enjoyed meeting everyone!

Just testing out video...didn't mean to take this but want to see how it works!

First pictures on campus 3/3/08

We took John on campus during Jenny's Capstone course. This was the least windy day, although as you can see from the pictures, the wind was still pretty good. Also, John was apparently channeling his famous fellow Tar Heel Michael Jordan, as expressed by the multiple tongue-sticking-out pictures.

We couldn't really get him to look at the camera

But he's still awful cute!

Two months old!

John turned two months old on Feb 21st. He had his doctor's appointment on the 2oth and the official stats were 23 1/4" long and 11 lbs 7 oz (the reverse of his birth weight 7 lbs 11 oz!).
He did well with his shots, but was pretty sleepy for the next day and a half.
